Sr. M. Danielle Peters Defends Doctoral Thesis

August 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Sister M. Danielle Peters defended her doctoral thesis at the International Marian Research Institute on the Feast of Our Lady’s Queenship, Friday, August 22. The topic of Sister Danielle’s thesis is Pope John Paul II’s teachings on Mary Mother and Educator and Father Joseph Kentenich’s teachings on Mary Mother and Educator. Under the direction of Father Johann G. Roten, SM, Sister Danielle thoroughly studied papal documents and the texts of Father Kentenich in search of the teaching that Mary educates the faithful. As a mother educates her children, so Mary also educates us, her children, given to her under the cross.
The International Marian Research Institute is a school of theology, a papal institute approved by Rome. It is located in the Marian Library on the campus of the University of Dayton. The focus of the Institute is centered on the Blessed Virgin Mary with the desire to better know, better love, and better serve her.
