Great Trip to Waukesha!

July 11th, 2008

Our family went on a pilgrimage to the Schoenstatt Shrine in Waukesha, WI over the July 4th weekend. It never ceases to amaze me how our Lord and his Blessed Mother make the most of these visits by consoling, challenging and then sending us forth with newfound zeal. The three graces of the shrine are in fact the sense of being at home, inner transformation and healing and apostolic zeal and they always seem to be a part of the equation during our visits.

Memorable quotes from the weekend: Clare (8 years) upon leaving the Shrine after a short time of prayer said, “I just felt love all over me!”. Ben (6 years) upon returning home asked Dad if “we can stay longer next time”. One of them in describing all the Sisters running about said, “they are like ants on a watermelon”.
